SBS elastomers are styrene-butadiene block copolymers. Both plastic and rubber characteristics, known as the "third generation of synthetic rubber". Similar to styrene butadiene rubber, SBS can be in contact with water, weak acid, alkali, etc., with excellent tensile strength, large surface friction coefficient, good low temperature performance, excellent electrical properties, good processing properties and other characteristics, becoming the largest consumption of thermoplastic elastomer. SBS is mainly used for rubber plastic modification, TPR modification, hot sol modification and asphalt modifier.

Application

1.plastic modification

SBS elastomer has high permeability or dense transparency, low fog, good melting fluidity and strong drop resistance. Modified with PS, it can increase the compatibility of resin mixing, improve the surface finish and transparency of the product. Under the same ratio application, the toughness can be improved one step, and the anti-fall performance is significantly enhanced, which is used for daily necessities packaging, stationery and toys. The viscosity of the product in the molten state is low, the melt flow state is close to the PP material, and the blending and modification of PP material, the compatibility is strengthened, effectively increase the toughness and anti-fall strength of PP, and the appearance is also significantly improved, which can be used for car bumpers, disposable grease barrels and other aspects.

2.TPR Modification

SBS elastomer is dense and transparent, with good yellowing resistance and strong coloration. Direct molding injection, can get a good feel, elastic feet, beautiful appearance of transparent products (such as transparent slippers, crystal soles, etc.). SBS shoe granule has become the leading product of sole material because of its low production cost, simple process and excellent performance. Shoes with a variety of raw materials for the skeleton, because the skeleton is different, so the performance of the particle is also different, with SBS as the main material of the shoe with the performance of the comprehensive index is the best.

3.Hot melt adhesive modification

SBS elastomer products have high butadiene content, good product low temperature resistance, can improve the low temperature resistance of hot melt adhesive, widely used in the industry in the production of low temperature adhesive, with high melt flow melt viscosity is low, can be used to improve the hot melt adhesive processing temperature and coating effect, improve production efficiency product low temperature resistance better. Used for the production of low temperature labels, low temperature resistant double-sided tape or low temperature resistant tape.
SBS elastomer products are pressure-sensitive for use in hot melt adhesives. It can improve the cohesion of hot melt adhesive, improve the peeling strength of hot melt adhesive, and reduce the hidden danger of running adhesive when the adhesive tape is applied.
