SUNION Class SBS-3008 is a linear SBS product, which styrene content is 40%, excluding SB di-block polymer. Compared with the three-steps SBS products at home and abroad, the SBS-3008 product has advantages of such low molecular weight, compact particle, high liquidity, good resilience, low melt viscosity, high hardness etc. The product's appearance is transparent or translucent particle, which is similar to most of the hard plastic. It's merits are material pipeline, high efficiency and low labor costs by twin screw extrusion modification or direct injection produce process.

Application

1. Plastic modification

SBS-3008 has high transparency (2mm thin plate transmittance > 90%), low haze and good melt fluidity (2.16kg, 190ºCmelting point close to 30g/10min). With the modification of PS, the compatibility of resin mixing can be further increased, and the surface finish and transparency of products will be improved obviously. At the same time, with the same ratio, the toughness can be further improved and the anti fall performance is obviously enhanced. It can be used in daily necessities packaging, stationery and toys. The SBS-3008 product is similar to PP materials in the molten state of the low viscosity, melt flow state. Therefore, modified with PP materials, compatibility was strengthened, which can effectively increase the toughness of PP and anti breaking strength, and the appearance is also significantly improved. That can be used for car bumper, disposable grease pail etc.

2. TPR modification

SBS-3008 has physical properties similar to the conventional SBS, and products with high transparency, yellowing resistance and strong shading sex. It can obtain transparent products with good feel, elastic feet and beautiful appearance, such as 2 transparent slippers, crystal sole, etc. It can be applied to foamed soles, and it can modify with conventional factice or low melting point dry glue blends, which can effectively improve the efficiency of foam products. Compared with domestic brands of similar products, it has the characteristics of high elongation, tensile ductility, strong surface comfort, soft and rich good elasticity. So it can be used for all kinds of tools handle, toothbrush handle, stationery handle, dashboard mat and electronic protective sleeve etc.

3. Hot melt adhesive

SBS-3008 is used for hot melt application, with the same sensitivity of original SBS, not only can improve the cohesive force of hot melt adhesive, improve the peel strength of the hot melt adhesive tape, reduce the application of rubber product run risks. SBS-3008 has high melting point, low melt viscosity, melt viscosity can be used to adjust the hot melt adhesive, coating effect improvement of hot melt machine, improve the uniformity of coating or spraying.

4. Asphalt modification

SBS-3008 has good melt fluidity, used for waterproof asphalt modification, which can effectively improve the melt viscosity of asphalt, improve mixing uniformity of the SBS and asphalt, improve the physical modification. Meanwhile, the asphalt for base coating wetting effect can also be improve.

Attentions

SBS-3008 belongs to combustible , and that should be away from fire and heat source and high oxidizing material. It also has double bonds in the internal structure which may be cross linked and cracked by the sunlight or ultraviolet radiation. Therefore, it should be avoided sunlight or strong light irradiation, and stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse.
