SBS is the largest yield of SBCs (accounting for more than 70%), the lowest cost, a wide range of applications, based on styrene, butadiene as a monomer triblock copolymer, both plastic and rubber characteristics, known as the "third generation of synthetic rubber." Similar to styrene butadiene rubber, SBS can be in contact with water, weak acid, alkali, etc., with excellent tensile strength, large surface friction coefficient, good low temperature performance, excellent electrical properties, good processing properties and other characteristics, becoming the largest consumption of thermoplastic elastomer.

Application

1.plastic modification
SBS elastomer has high permeability or dense transparency, low fog, good melting fluidity and strong drop resistance. Modified with PS, it can increase the compatibility of resin mixing, improve the surface finish and transparency of the product. Under the same ratio application, the toughness can be improved one step, and the anti-fall performance is significantly enhanced, which is used for daily necessities packaging, stationery and toys. The viscosity of the product in the molten state is low, the melt flow state is close to the PP material, and the blending and modification of PP material, the compatibility is strengthened, effectively increase the toughness and anti-fall strength of PP, and the appearance is also significantly improved, which can be used for car bumpers, disposable grease barrels and other aspects.

2.shoemaking industry
The sole made of SBS instead of vulcanized rubber and polyvinyl chloride has good elasticity, beautiful color, good wet slip resistance, air permeability, wear resistance, low temperature and flexural resistance, no smelly feet, comfortable wearing and other advantages, and has a high friction coefficient on asphalt pavement, wet and snow pavement. The waste SBS sole can be recycled and the cost is moderate. The sole pattern can be translucent tendon sole or colorful two-color sole, can also be made into foam sole. With SBS made of inexpensive whole molded canvas shoes, its weight is 15-25% lighter than PVC resin shoes, the coefficient of friction is 30% higher, with excellent wear resistance and low softness and softness. SBS has these excellent properties, which makes it widely used in the footwear industry.

3.Hot melt adhesive modification
Because SBS has good solubility in hydrocarbon solvents, fast dissolution, good stability and strong cohesion, it avoids the harm to human health by using aromatic hydrocarbon solvents. Coupled with SBS adhesive good elasticity, bonding strength and low temperature performance, low viscosity, creep resistance is better than the general EVA, acrylic adhesives, in life has been widely used. It can be used in the production of adhesive for shoes, metallurgical powder molding agent, laminating adhesive, wood quick drying adhesive, label, tape adhesive, disposable sanitary products adhesive, laminating adhesive, sealant and for hooks, electronic components and general strong adhesive, universal adhesive and self-adhesive.
